Today is a extremely exciting day for Smash Bros fans and players everywhere! Late this afternoon, Nintendo held the FINAL Smash Bros direct presentation, where they pretty much wrapped up the game for us by announcing the final DLC content.

Obviously we’ve known for quite sometime now that Cloud as well as his Midgar stage, was on it’s way to our roster. However, Nintendo also revealed a few more characters, one of which, has been announced as the final DLC character.

The first newcomer that has been announced was Corrin, the new male/female, Fire Emblem: Fates,┬ámain character; the character you will be able to control and customize throughout the duration of the Fire Emblem: Fates titles. Corrin is the 5th playable Fire Emblem addition to the game! However, he/she seems to be the most interesting character to date! With a handful of unique moves and mechanics, he is surely not a Fire Emblem clone in any way that we’ve seen in the past.

Lastly, the final character announced, and the winner of the Smash Ballot, has announced to be Bayonetta! Original released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Bayonetta is a title that features a very adventurous and sexy which who fights against the evil underworld forces. Bayonetta made her debut on the Wii U last year, where Bayonetta 2 released as an exclusive title on the platform, along with the first game as a free addition along with the sequel. Since the launch of Bayonetta 2, her popularity has apparently skyrocketed, enough it seems – to become one of the most highly requested Ballot characters in all regions! During the Direct, Sakurai did reveal that she would, in fact be, the final DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS.

The Direct also included details regarding a slew of new Mii Costumes which are soon to be available along with each specific character launch. Cloud + Midgar Stage, as well as the Chocobo Mii Costumes are now available to purchase through the eShop and playable within the game. Odds are the severs are going through a bit of stress at the moment, so it may take you a little while to make your purchase.

Corrin & Bayonetta are both scheduled to become available in February of 2016, along with their respective stages and costume content.
