It’s an exciting day for all of you who are fans of the DOOM franchise.
Earlier today, Bethesda and Id Software released a brand new Campaign Trailer for their upcoming title DOOM. The company also publicly announced that the release date for the game is currently set for May 13th, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This upcoming DOOM title, is set to be a sort of a reboot for the franchise.
It has also been revealed that the game will be receiving a Collector’s Edition, which will contain “an exclusive, fully-realized 12” tall collector’s statue of one of the game’s most iconic demons: the Revenant. Modeled from actual in-game 3D files and striking in appearance, the demonic Revenant stands on an LED-lit base with internal, slow-spinning turbine from the UAC facility on Mars. The DOOM collector’s edition also includes a copy of the game packaged in an exclusive, battle-worthy metal case.” The Collectors Edition is set to retails for $119.99
I personally did not see the new DOOM arriving this soon. While May is still a bit of a ways out, I was expecting a Autumn 2016 release date at the very earliest, considering the very few details we’ve received regarding the title. With that aside however, I am still quite stoked that that the title will be arriving before years end.
