Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 Have Been Confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One

For the most part, Capcom has been one of those third party companies who have been in and out of trouble over the years.

Ever sine slowing down on the Megaman Franchise, Capcom hasn’t really had all that much to work with, and has instead been focusing a lot on remastering older titles, and bringing them over onto next-gen hardware.

It seems this will be their strategy throughout 2016 as well, as the company has recently announced that they will be bringing Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 to the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One throughout 2016!

I’m not a huge Resident Evil fan, and haven’t played many, but seeing remastered versions of titles of big franchises make their way onto next-gen hardware, gives me a sort of 2nd opportunity to experience what I missed out on last-generation.

Oddly, Capcom has decided that they will be releasing each game in a sort of reverse order, with Resident Evil 6 arriving on March 26th, Resident Evil 5 coming during this Summer, and Resident Evil 4 arriving sometime during the Fall of this year. Details regarding official pricing have not yet been announced.

Usually when companies do decide to remasters, it usually whispers the possibility of an official sequel coming sometime along the way. Resident evil 6 released back in 2012, so Capcom is definitely a bit overdue for a official sequel if it isn’t completely ruled out within the company. Who know’s, we might even get an official announcement for Resident Evil 7 during E3.

In the meantime though, I’ll be dimming the lights in office, and preparing to play-through the remastered versions of each and every Resident Evil title.
