Since Nintendo is taking so long in officially revealing their next console–currently titled “NX”–to the general public, it seems that developers with dev kits for the hardware have begun to take matters into their own hands by releasing bits and pieces of information regarding the console, including some new apparent images of the controller.
Earlier this month, dual pixels received images from an apparent controller leak which you can check out here. These new images seem to be on-spot in terms of the general design of the controller, that we’ve seen from the leak which took place earlier on in the month.

As you can see in this latest leak, the controller design is pretty much the same, though ultimately looking a bit better, smoother, and more finished. The controller still seems to be centered on having a built-in display, which will apparently allow users to play games solely on the controller, much like the Wii U. This controller, however, seems to have completely ditched the traditional A,B,X,Y buttons, which are more than likely going to be integrated on-screen via touch sensitivity.
While the controller definitely looks nice, I’m not sure how I feel about completely leaving behind my precious buttons in this next console generation. It has been difficult for 3rd party developers to fully be on-board with the Wii U in the past, due to the hardware’s unique take on controls and the game-pad in general. Of course, however, these images are mere rumors until Nintendo either confirms them or announces otherwise.
