If you’re fan of the Ghostbusters franchise, odds are you are well informed of the upcoming 2016 reboot/sequel the film is set to receive. The new movie is currently scheduled to arrive sometime this Summer in theaters and will star an all-female cast this time around! The starts of the movie will be Kristen wig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. Along with the upcoming movie, a rumored video game released has also been said to be in development.
The release date for the video game title, may have just been leaked, however. The popular online retailer, Newegg, currently has the video game available to pre-order, with a release date of July 12th, 2016. The release date is only a day off from the movie release, which is currently scheduled for July 15th, 2016. The video game is currently listed to be launching on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Activision as the publisher
Activision has yet to announce anything formally regarding the apparent Video Game release, however with an apparently July release date, there is a good chance we will officially hear about the title, and perhaps even see it in action, during E3 2016, set to take place in early June.
