Rocket League Goes Cross-Platform Play Between PC/Xbox One

You wanted it, waited for it, and now you have it! An exciting feature has finally been added to Rocket League today, that’s right, the highly anticipated Cross-Play functionality is now available for the game, as Xbox One players are now able to cross-platform play with PC players, and vise versa. Rocket League is the first title that enabled this compatibility, with future titles to follow, claimed by Microsoft themselves.

For those of you that may not be all that excited about playing with users of the other platform, you are also able to shut off the feature, just as you are to turn it on, by visiting the options menu.  This new feature will officially go live today at 6pm ET, so less than an hour!

Rocket League is currently available to digitally download for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game will also be receiving a physical release on July 5th, which will cost $10 more than the current digital editions of the game, which are currently priced at $29.99, and will come with the following:

    • 3 complete DLC packs
    • 4 all-new vehicles
    • exclusive art print

Being able to compete with players from other platforms is an extremely nice luxury! While Cross-Play between Xbox One players and PC players is exciting, I out-right cannot wait until PS4, Xbox One, and PC users will finally be able to go head to head in a large variety of titles. Hopefully that day is not to far away…
