Despite the rumors which were circling around earlier this year regarding Square Enix working on yet another Remaster for one of their Final Fantasy titles, after a seemingly long period of silence in regards to the rumor, Square Enix took us all by surprise today as they’ve announced the next Final Fantasy title receiving the Remastered treatment.
Final Fantasy 12 HD Remaster has been announced as a PS4 exclusive for 2017. Square Enix is now officially re-branding the game as “Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age”. Square Enix also released a trailer showcasing the upcoming remaster, alongside of the announcement. The games look absolutely gorgeous to say the least!
Final Fantasy XII has been debated to be one of the best Final Fantasy titles of all time, having received a perfect score from famitsu back in 2006.
Which E3 2016 just around the corner, odds are we will hear a lot more about Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. and what we can expect in this Remaster in comparison to the original PS2 version.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will also include 7.1 channel surround sound, English/Japanese audio and original/re-recorded music, as well as faster loading times and an auto-save function.
