Forza has seemingly turned into a annual franchise, and I’m not complaining. Though I only touched my copy of Forza 6 about twice; those two times of popping the game into my Xbox One were filled with tons of fun as well as wipeouts, to be honest, I’m quite excited to begin playing once again in anticipation for Forza Horizon 3.
During Microsoft’s E3 2016 Press Conference, the company announced that the 3rd iteration in the Forza Horizon franchise, would be arriving on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC’s this September, entitled “Forza Horizon 3.”
The setting of this Forza Horizon will be in Australia, and with that new location, will also be the debut of some new vehicles that are also commonly used on Australia terrain – such as jeeps and buggies.
Multiplayer was also a pretty big focus during the reveal of Forza Horizon 3, as Xbox One players as well as Windows 10 PC players will be able to join in and out of co-op with one another swiftly and smoothly, via cross-play. No word however, was stated as to whether or not there will be online racing cross-play between the two platforms, however, I believe it’s safe to say that is pretty much a given at this point.
If you are one of those people who are trying to decide between purchasing Forza Horizon 3 on either Xbox One or Window’s 10, you’ll be happy to know that if you purchase one or the other via digital, you’ll also receive the game as a download for the opposing platform.
Forza Horizon 3 launches on both Xbox One and Windows 10 on September 27th, 2016.
