If you are an avid user of Xbox, then you probably already know that Fall is generally a pretty big time for Xbox in terms of features and updates.
Since the launch of the Xbox One, however, Microsoft has been hard at work implementing new features and updates every few months or so, while also giving users to test new updates and features, before they officially go live, via the “Xbox Preview Program”. With that said, several large new additions to the Xbox One are on the way, as the next BIG Fall update is on the horizon and was touched upon a bit during Microsoft’s E3 2016 Press Conference.
A slew of new features were announced, and while I’m still crying over the return of Netflix Parties not being one of them, a lot of the features we will be receiving have definitely been highly requested among the fans. They are as follows:
- More XBL Servers Coming to More Locations
- Cross Network Play
- Background Music
- Language Region Independence
- Xbox Live Clubs ( A new way to connect with Xbox Players, similar to PS4’s “Communities”.)
- Looking for Group Xbox Live (A new way to find players for co-op or online multiplayer, seek out players for a specific activity.)
- Arena Xbox Live (A tournament platform aimed at players and smaller organizations to setup events, run brackets, and more.)
As you can see, quite a few features are on the way, and it’s quite possible that there are even a few in store that we do not know about yet. Xbox has really stepped it’s game up; after having quite a rocky few years since it’s launch, it seems the pieces are finally coming together for the console, and I’m really excited to begin using the platform once again.
