Initiated today for Xbox One owners, the August Xbox One update has began to roll out to Xbox One consoles The Xbox support website has stated the update has started rolling out as of “July 29th, 2016”, however, it won’t be arriving to everyone all at the same time. Odds are, if it is not available for you yet, it should be within a day or two. In case you need a quick refresher of what is included in the August update, feel free to check out the official brief overview below.
“New in the August update: My games & apps are now on the top of the Home screen, new sorting options have been added, and Ready to install items have been moved to their own area. Cortana has taken over voice commands on Xbox One. You can now play music in the background and play games with no snapping needed. The Store now shows everything on one screen. You can also find your Facebook friends on Xbox Live”
Also released today, alongside the Xbox One August Update roll-out, is a video preview featuring all that is included in next months update. You can check that out, as well, below.
