RUMOR: Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon Releases To Follow NX Launch

We’ve heard plenty about the NX and what it may actually be capable of, but we’ve heard so little as to what games we might see launching on the console, around the time of it’s release. With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild being Nintendo’s only first party announcement title for the console thus far, many fans are left wondering what other titles we may see as potential launch titles or even post-launch titles, following the console a few months or less – after it’s official launch.

Recent reports from MCV  claim that Nintendo is currently striving to have the biggest first-party title launch, ever, available for the Nintendo NX around it’s launch date.  The franchises expected to launch are Mario, Zelda, and a Pokemon title, all within the first six months following the NX’s launch. Along with this, sources have also reported to MCV that Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision, and Warner Bros are already on board for 3rd party releases, around that same period; Sonic, Final Fantasy XV, Watch Dogs 2, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Injustice 2, are likely the titles that will be available on the NX, from these 3rd party entities, following the launch.

While it’s nice to hear that 3rd party support is well on the way, many, as well as myself, will not be as interested in picking up 3rd party titles on the platform if they can simply have a better playing experience on either PS4 or Xbox One; so let’s just hope the NX offers an either on-par or better experience for these titles.

The Nintendo NX is currently slated to launch sometime during March or 2017.
