We’ve all known for awhile back that Activision will be continuing with Call of Duty beta phases, before their launches; something we’ve seen for the first time implanted, last year with Black Ops 3.
With the recent announcement of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare having it’s beta period on the PlayStation 4, kicking off on October 14th, many Xbox users have been wondering when exactly they’ll be able to get their hands on the beta as well.
As recent spotting over on the Microsoft Store, apparently briefly showcased the release date for the IW Xbox One beta as “Beta starts October 21, 2016 on Xbox One. Availability and launch date(s) subject to change. See www.callofduty.com/beta for more details. Minimum Beta duration is 3 days.”
The information has since been taken down, however, many Xbox users are now assuming this will in fact be the official release date, despite Activision not having yet confirmed a beta date for either Xbox One or PC.
In order to par-take in the beta, players will either have to pre-order the game digitally, or physically at a retail location, to receive a code.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 on November 4th, 2016.
