If you were looking forward to Friday the 13th: The Game spooking you out this year, unfortunately you’ll have to wait…..another year. Originally set to launch during the Fall of this year, developers of the game have announced that the game will now be pushed into Spring 2017.
The reasoning behind the recent delay was explained within a recent Kickstarter update; however, the developers at Gun Media have revealed that the game will be receiving a story campaign, as well as AI bots to the game.
“While the addition of Single Player and AI Bots means a bigger game for all, they also mean a delay from a Fall 2016 release window to a new launch window scheduled for Spring 2017. Gun Media and IllFonic will use the time to lay down the groundwork for the single player experience while continuing development of the multiplayer portion with additional content.”
This was one title I completely forgot was even originally planned to launch this year. Horror games come and go every now and then; however Friday The 13th: The Game, looked to be one of the more quality types – that were in development. It’s quite a shame it won’t be out in time for Halloween 2016.
Friday The 13th: The Game is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
