We’ve waited well over a decade for The Last Guardian. And while it’s been an emotional journey of waiting, being told it’s been cancelled, then being told it still exists, then being told it’s coming soon; we all can finally take a breather as the game has just recently been reported to have gone gold.
For those of you who may not know what going “gold” means, in the video game industry; it basically means that a specific title has begun to be printed onto discs with shipment in preparation to send copies out to retailers. It’s essentially pre-release preparation.
The report of the title going gold was announced by the game’s producer, Jun Hoshino, which pretty much makes the report as legit as it can possibly get. With the game recently being pushed into December of this year, from it’s initial October 2016 release date; many were worried that the few month delay could end being turning into an eventual push into Spring of 2017. Luckily, this report pretty much assures us the game won’t be delayed again.
The Last Guardian arrives on exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on December 6th.
