Alongside the announcement of the latest Marvel vs Capcom title, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, which was revealed at PSX 2016 this past weekend; was also the reveal of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 making it’s way to next-gen platforms as well as PC via a port. This was something everyone thought was never to happen, due to character licensing issues between Capcom and Marvel, however it seems things have been worked out just for this port to happen.
It was revealed this weekend at the PS4 port of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was made available to purchase and download via the PlayStation Store, with Xbox One and Windows 10 PC ports happening sometime during March of 2017. While that had many fans of the series ecstatic to begin playing the game once again, this time on next-gen, some new information has now been dug up also regarding the re-releases for UMvC3.
SRK has recently reported that over on the official GameStop website, listings for both physical copies of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 are currently displayed as “Only at GameStop” for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – with a release date of 3/31/2017 and a price of $29.99.

It’s probably important to mention that these dates serve as only placeholders, and there is a possibility we may see these physical editions release before or after the placeholder date. It’s quite likely they won’t launch until March, however, as that is when the digital editions are currently slated to release for Xbox One and PC.
