While Project Cars 2 has pretty much been confirmed ever since the release of the first title, back in  2015; we’ve since received very little details regarding what the sequel might hold for the franchise, as well as the direction it might take. Despite the developers bumping into a few hiccups when it came to getting the game funded, the sequel has finally been officially announced by the folks at Slightly Mad and Bandai Namco.

Project CARS 2 is the next evolution in the award-winning racing series, featuring the most iconic cars under the most thrilling of conditions to deliver the “Ultimate Driver Journey” experience and adrenaline rush.

Project Cars 2 will be a huge step-up from it’s predecessor, the title will feature over 170 licensed cars, with the biggest track roster to ever be available on a console! Project Cars 2 will also support full VR and 12kHDR support, so you can expect to get the most richest, and realest experience out of the game.

In addition to this, the game will feature a new function entitled “Livetrack 3.0” which will be a full 24-hour cycle that will “faithfully recreates the atmospheric conditions and ambiance of a specific time of year.”

Project Cars 2 will also be upping it’s multiplayer functions and options, as the title will feature a new online championships and “intelligent” matchmaking.

Online features will be a fairly important area to not miss when it comes to Project Cars 2 as with the title likely being up against the heads of GranTurismo: Sport and a potential Forza 7, online is very likely to be much more heavily focused this time around, for those titles.

Project Cars 2 is set to be available during late 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
