Re-experience The Last of Us: Remastered In Even Higher Quality

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been THREE YEARS since the release of The Last of Us: Remastered, boy how time flies. I have often remind myself that this game originally launched on the PlayStation 3, truly hard for me to grasp. Regardless of that, the developers over at Naughty Dog have updated the Remastered version of the title for the first time in three years, now offering a more “high definition” experience for owners of the game with a PlayStation 4 Pro console.

Owners of the PlayStation 4 Pro will now be able to utilize the extra power and capabilities that the system contains and have an overall better Last of Us: Remastered experience. Players are now able to change their graphic settings to enhance the visuals even further in both 1080p and 4K resolutions. Not only this, but PS4 Pro Owners are also given the options to not only configure resolutions, but framerate and shadow quality as well.

You can checkout the full list of patch notes below.

    General:

    •  Modified PlayStation®4 Pro enhancements settings
    • Added user options related to the PlayStation®4 Pro enhancement settings

    Multiplayer:

    • Fixed an issue that could cause a player to aim downward inadvertently
    • Fixed an exploit where players could throw a smoke bomb to get inside of level collision

It’s also probably important to note that PS4 Pro owners of the game DO NOT need to own a 4K TV/Monitor in order to notice the changed settings on the game, as any HD display will be able to showcase the changes.

I still have a friends copy of The Last of Us: Remastered lying around somewhere and I decided to bite the pullet on the PS4 Pro train only a few weeks ago. Perhaps it’s time for me to experience The Last of Us in it’s greatest fashion.
