It’s never to late to make changes in your career, no matter what past accomplishments you may have made – and Sonic The Hedgehog Creator Yuji Naka is a prime example of that.
The former developer and lead of Sonic Team has recently announced via Twitter that he has joined Square Enix earlier this month and has joined as a developer. He states “I aim to develop and enjoyable game, please look forward to it.”
Just a quick note to let you know, I joined SQUARE ENIX in January.
I’m joining game development as before, and strive to develop games at SQUARE ENIX.
I aim to develop an enjoyable game, please look forward to it.— Yuji Naka / 中 裕司 (@nakayuji) January 22, 2018
While Yuji Naka wasn’t exactly the sole creator of Sonic the Hedghog, he was one of a few individuals who truly help bring the character to life, and is now considered to be one of the founding fathers of the character and it’s games.
While we still have no idea what Yuji may be working on over at the Square Enix studio’s, it’s definitely safe to say that the company has now acquired some very precious cargo, and I think we can all agree when I say that we’ll be paying close attention to what Yuji Naka and the Square Enix team comes up with in the near future.
