PUBG Arrives On PlayStation 4 Next Month!

It’s been a long time coming for PlayStation 4 owners who have been craving some PUBG action; and after the glimmer of hope that was bestowed upon them last year- shortly following the launch of PUBG on the Xbox One, Sony has finally proved that good things truly do come to those who wait.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlergrounds was officially announced today for the PlayStation 4 via a PlayStation blog update. In case you aren’t familiar with the game, it’s essentially one of the biggest Battle-Royale titles known to man. The game was originally developed for the PC, but eventually saw it’s debut on the Xbox One late last year, as the game officially came out of beta. Players in the game will be matched with 99 other players, as you descend upon a giant match filled with different types of weapons, vehicles, landscapes, and more – as you make your way across the map towards the current “safe zone”, ultimately inevitably shooting it out with other players – with aim to be the last man standing or…”Winner winner, chicken dinner!”

PUBG will launch alongside various Pre-orders bundles on the PlayStation 4 that you can pickup if you want to add a bit of spice to your gameplay. PUBG features the ability to personally customize your character, bit by bit, something that definitely sets itself apart from other BR games with customization options. The bundles which will be available to purchase at launch are as follows:

    • Disc Edition
      $29.99 USD (MSRP) / $39.99 CAD (MSRP)
      Includes: Base Game
    • Looter’s Digital Edition
      $29.99 USD (MSRP) / $39.99 CAD (MSRP)
      Includes: Base Game
    • Survivor’s Digital Edition
      $59.99 USD (MSRP) / $79.99 CAD (MSRP)
Includes: Base Game, Survival Pass: Vikendi, 2,300 G-Coin Pack, 20,000 BP
    • Champion’s Digital Edition
      $89.99 USD (MSRP) / $119.99 CAD (MSRP)
Includes: Base Game, Survival Pass: Vikendi, 6,000 G-Coin Pack, 20,000 BP

Speaking of cosmetics, PlayStation owners of the game, for as long as you pre-order the title, will be given a full Nathan Drake Desert Outfit for their BR character – definitely something worth pre-ordering the game for!

Overall, it seems PUBG is shaping to to have a fairly successful launch on the PlayStation 4, and it’s looking more promising of a launch than the Xbox One’s if I do say so myself. You can checkout the full announcement by visiting the PlayStation Blog.

PUBG Officially comes to the PlayStation 4 on December 7th.
