We’ve heard rumors for sometime now regarding the possibility of a new Battlefield title to arrive sometime later this year. Battlefield 5 rumors have been spreading around like wildfire as of recent, as information regarding the games apparent World War 2 setting, has gotten quite a few fans of the franchise excited, as the more modern as well as futuristic take on FPS games nowadays has seem to become quite tiresome to many.
The rumors however, can finally be put to rest as invites have apparently gone out for a Battlefield 5 reveal event. The event is apparently taking place on May 6th, at 8pm CET. A live-stream is also supposed to be present, ultimately giving us all a first, good look at the latest Battlefield title in the franchise.
A twitter user, which goes by the name of Mashed8, has apparently received an invite to this upcoming event. Odds are it’s only a matter of time until we hear about other popular FPS focused YouTuber’s, preparing to attend the event as well.
With the rumors of the upcoming 2016 Call of Duty title going back to a more traditional, WW2 style setting, as well as the upcoming Battlefield. We may be very well looking at a quick, but perhaps temporary shift, back to WW1/WW2 shooters. It’s only a matter of time until we hear official details regarding both upcoming titles, so until then, what sort of setting are you hoping developers take with the upcoming Battlefield and Call of Duty?
