Open betas seem to be popping up big-time this month, with Battleborn, Gears of War, and DOOM all having their betas the same month! Bethesda however, has recently provided some new details regarding the open beta for DOOM, which is set to take place this week.
The games open beta will run from April 15th to April 17th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The beta will also be available to absolutely everyone, regardless if you’ve pre-ordered the title or not.
Here is the format that will be in effect for this week’s open beta:
- Maps: Heatwave and Infernal
- Game Modes: 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath
- Demon: Revenant
- Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun
- Power Weapons: Gauss Cannon
- Equipment: Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter, Siphon Grenade
I myself will surely be putting in some serious time in the open beta. While I have never played a DOOM title myself, the multiplayer looks extremely intriguing in this title, so I will definitely have to partake.
DOOM will officially launch on May 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
