EA displayed a number of trailers for new titles at E3 this year, the foremost being the new Star Wars Battlefront,  Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, and Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2:
EA announced the sequel to the Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (if you couldn’t tell from the line above) and showed a trailer along with gameplay footage which is included below:

    Need for Speed:

EA provided a release date and some footage of car customization and gameplay.

    Gameplay:

     Unravel:

A new Yarn and physics-based puzzle platformer from Swedish developer Cordwood Interactive.  It looks incredibly cute and pretty.  A description from the presenter:  “You are the red thread that runs through someone’s life, trying to tie all of their missing pieces back together.”

    NBA Live ’16:

EA gave a release date (September 29th) for the next entry in the NBA Live franchise and also introduced a new face scanning app which will allow players to scan their faces in and customize it in-game.

    FIFA 16:

As a fan of both soccer (futbol) and video games, I was surprised that they managed to bring in Pele on stage, although I’m not sure how many people present really knew who he was.  They presented a number of changes, one of the major one being the inclusion of women’s squads.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – New Expansion:

A large expansion for EA’s Star Wars MMO, The Old Republic, titled “Knights of the Fallen Empire” was announced and a cinematic trailer was shown.  The expansion will be free and will launch in October.

While no specific details were revealed, the story seems to follow two twin brothers who grow up with a not-easily-pleased father which inevitably leads to conflict within the family.

To make sure there’s no confusion, this is not a new entry for Knights of the Old Republic.

    Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

A new Star Wars themed mobile card collecting game (because God knows we need more of those).  The game spans episodes 1-6, characters from all movies and you collect and upgrade the cards like you would in any other card collecting game.

    Star Wars: Battlefront

The newest presentation of Star Wars: Battlefront teased Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader as playable characters.  The demo primarily showed a large scale battle on Hoth, where the rebels were attempting to fend of the Empire with Snowspeeders and X-Wings, while Storm Troopers, AT-ATs, AT-STs, TIE fighters, and Imperial cruisers assaulted the rebel base (the empire looked super OP).

Playing as Vader or Luke Skywalker allows you to deflect laser blasts and push groups of enemies.

    Multiplayer Demo:

    Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst

EA also unveiled a trailer for the prequel-sequel of the original title, this next installment will cover the origin story of Faith, the main character of the series.  From what was shown in the trailer, it looks like it will try and remain Faith-ful (I’m so funny) to the original.

    Mass Effect: Andromeda

The newest entry to BioWare’s series Mass Effect was announced, with a trailer showing a person in N7 armor scrolling through a map of locations in the galaxy before cruising along the surface of a world in a Mako vehicle.  After the conference coverage, EA continued to tease further details about the new entry:

“You’ll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw,” the post reads. “And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with.”
