It’s been a big year for the Final Fantasy franchise! With several titles arriving on both the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, as well as the long-awaited arrival of Final Fantasy XV; odds are if you aren’t a Final Fantasy fan, you’ve more than likely been hearing the buzz about it in 2016 more than any other year for quite some time.
Well, things are about to buzz even more as Square Enix is preparing to celebrate the franchises 30th Anniversary in 2017! The company quite obviously has some things up their sleeves and with rumors swirling around the net from possible FF13 trilogy remakes, all the way to a Final Fantasy X-3, it’s safe to say that Square Enix definitely has something up their sleeves that will make any Final Fantasy fan squeal.
As of now, the only confirmed celebration to take place with be a Final Fantasy XIV-themed real escape game which will be opening in several Zepp location in Japan starting on the 10th of February. Â Square Enix however, will begin celebrating the games 30th anniversary on December 18th, into 2017 – so it’s possible we could hear some exciting announcements as soon as next week!
