Final Fantasy VII Remake Has Been Delayed

Out of all of the games set to arrive in the year 2020, Final Fantasy 7 Remaster was always the title I personally found to be most likely to receive a delay, even if it is only a small one. Yes that is correct, Square Enix manage to shatter the hearts of all Cloud Strife and Tifa lovers out there today with the announcement that the highly anticipated, ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’ title, would be seeing a delay from it’s March 3rd release, to April 10th, 2020. It’s a small delay in all honesty, but a HUGE title to be seeing a delay, so early in the year which is usually known to be a slow period for video game releases (though this has not been the case for the past couple of years).

Via a press release, the producer of the title had the following to say regarding the games delay:

“We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.”

“We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know this means waiting for the game just a little bit longer.”

“Thank you for your patience and continued support”

Delay’s are a tough thing to endure, as always, especially when it concerns a game that has been anticipated for so many years like Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Luckily, March 2020 will offer no shortness of new games, as it has always been setting up to be one of the biggest release months we’ve had since probably October. So rest assured, there will be something for everyone that should keep you entertained until Remake comes along the following month.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will now launch on April 10th, 2020 on PS4.
