2016 is shaping up to be Microsoft’s re-focus on PC Gaming. With Windows 10 being the most solid and enjoyed OS since Windows 7, the company seems to be fairly comfortable with shifting their focus to the PC gamer’s.
With that said, we have begun to see and hear about many console releases, making their way to PC. Gears of War and Killer Instinct, just to name a few.
Forza seems to be the next Xbox franchise, making it’s way to PC. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex has been announced to be the first Forza title that will be arriving on PC, with more to come on the way.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, will be arriving this spring on Windows 10, as a free to play game that seeks to give you a “diverse tour of what Forza Motorsport 6 has to offer.” Apex will also be using DirectX 12 functions to provide you with extremely crisp visuals, up to 4K resolutions.
It’s fairly clear that Microsoft has begun to change up their strategy in regards to their exclusivity under some of their titles. While I’m sure there will be a good handful of titles that are generally Xbox exclusives, that will remain only on Xbox One, such as the upcoming Crackdown 3, Quantum Break, and the Halo franchise. But I’m sure many new TBA Xbox titles, will also see a Windows 10 release either alongside, or shortly after the Xbox One release.
