Ahhhh yes, it feels like just yesterday Gears of War 4 was announced at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference, oh how time flies! Seriously though, I still cannot believe the moment they first revealed the game at the tail end of their press conference, with gameplay footage for that matter. I remember thinking to myself, “Are you serious? Another Gears? I could’ve sworn they’d be done by now!” Obviously that wasn’t the case, as Microsoft also revealed that same day a Gears of War 1 remaster, which ended up becoming Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
With that said, you can probably already tell how long we’ve been waiting for this 4th iteration. That’s right, about one full year, not long at all, actually. But we’ve been waiting, and the time is almost here!
Despite still being about a full month out from the official release, Microsoft has gone ahead and released the official Launch trailer for the game, which is narrated by John DiMaggo, the voice of the infamous Marcus Fenix.
Gears of War 4 launches on October 11th on both Xbox One and PC via Windows 10. If you purchase the Ultimate Edition version of the title, however, you’ll be able to start playing the game on October 7th. Feel free to checkout the official launch trailer below.
