Yesterday, The Coalition officially revealed some exciting details regarding the upcoming Gears of War 4 title!
Starting with a countdown early yesterday morning, it was pretty clear the company was ready to reveal some sort of information regarding the game. The first bit of information we received was a look at the official box art for the title! Keeping that classic Gears of War style, the boaxart gives us a fresh look at the stars of the game, (JD Fenix, Kait Diaz, and Del Walker). Gears of War is currently set to take place 25 years after the conclusion of Gears of War 3.
Along with the reveal of the boxart, the company also revealed the official release date for the title, which is now October 11th, 2016, being pushed back a little later than originally intended. Gears of War 4 will have a simultaneous launch, with the title being exclusive to Xbox One, for the time being.
The Gears of War 4 beta is set to kick off on April 18th, for those of you who have played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. For everyone else, who has not yet purchased the title, a full-on open beta is set to kick off on April 25th, and will run until May 1st.
