If you’ve been waiting around for your next farming journey, and haven’t found Stardew Valley to be particularity enjoyable, perhaps a new Harvest Moon titles will tickle your fancy? The Harvest Moon franchise will soon be getting it’s latest iteration, now in development for the 3DS entitled “Harvest Moon: Skytree Village”.
The story of the game takes place in a once thriving village called “Skytree Village”, the village once had many residents, however a long drought came about after the Harvest Goddesses power began to fade. Your role as a player will be to help revive the Seven Skytrees and restore the Harvest Goddess’ power, while at the same time helping bring life back the the town as a whole.
This new Harvest moon will feature a brand new artstyle and character models, also featuring new farm customization options and a new herd animal called the Poitou Donkey.
Here is an official statement from the President and CEO of developer Nastume, Hiro Maekawa, and what he had to say regarding the new game.
“After the evolutionary Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley and a successful jaunt to mobile platforms with Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, we are really excited to share everything we have learned with our fans. Our community is very important to us, and their feedback and input has been taken into account a great deal in the development of Harvest Moon: Skytree Village! We hope they will see and feel their contribution in this new game!”
