Microsoft Reveals Their E3 2017 Press Conference Changes

Sometimes I’m alright with change, other times…I just don’t know. E3 2017 is definitely receiving some pretty noticeable changes, the biggest one one of course, is that the event will officially be opening up it’s doors to the public for the first time ever! 15,000 tickets went on sale earlier this week, and those who have been dreaming of attending E3 ever since they were born can finally do so.

As we begin to slowly inch our way towards the month of E3, many developers and companies are finalizing their plans for the convention – and Microsoft is one of them. Microsoft has announced this week that they will be switching things up a little bit this year, and will now be holding their E3 Press Conference on Sunday, June 12th at 2pm Pacific Time. This is a pretty big swap from their traditional Monday morning Press Conference slot, and I’m not really sure how I feel about it.

Regardless though, that’s one less day for us to have to wait before hearing the glorious goodies that the company has in store for us for the remainder of the year, as well as the likely official reveal of the Xbox Scorpio.

Ultimately, this schedule change-up could be a good thing, especially for members of the Press who are looking to attend. In recent years, E3 Press Conferences have begun to get quite jam-packed, especially with Square Enix, the PC Gamer Show, and Bethesda coming into the fold. This has left pretty much Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday to all be jam-packed with Press Conferences, which in some cases, forces media to skip out on one Conference in order to attend another. While Microsoft’s bump into Sunday doesn’t exactly free up all that much time-space, it could prove to be quite convenient in the end, depending on the announced dates and times from the other companies who will be holding Conferences this year.

E3 2017 is set to take place June 13th-15th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
