If you’re looking to try out live life on the edge a little early, you’ll be happy to know that the upcoming title, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, will be having it’s Closed Beta on April 22nd. The beta will run for five day’s, and is set to conclude on April 26th. Unfortunately, with it only being a Closed Beta, you’ll have to be selected by EA themselves to be able to get your hands on the action a little early. Those who are chosen to partake in the Closed Beta will receive a email on the 22nd with a download code. The Closed Beta will be eligible to play on any platform the title is releasing on.
EA and Dice have stated:
“It’s an exhilarating feeling, being this close to the launch of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.” “The team here at DICE has made a true leap of faith, and with the upcoming Closed Beta* we intend to make the landing as smooth as possible.”
The companies have also shed a little light on what exactly the Closed Beta will feature:
“Closed Beta participants will be able to try out several of the main missions in Faith’s story, Side Missions, other optional content, and the Social Play features Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has to offer. As with any beta, the experience will not be the same as the final product. The Closed Beta is a chance for us to gather your valuable feedback and test the Social Play and online systems before launch. We know that as community members, you will have invaluable feedback on the game and we look forward to your comments and reaction when the Closed Beta starts.”
If you don’t get selected for the Closed Beta, don’t be sad, the full title is almost a month away! Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be arriving on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 24th.
