Earlier this morning, Nintendo has announced that they will be giving the Nintendo 2DS handheld system a price-drop towards the end of this month.
On August 30th to be exact, the Nintendo 2DS will retail for the discounted price of $99, $30 cheaper from it’s previous price point of $129.99. The system will still ship with a free installed copy of Mario Kart 7 which is pretty awesome.
Originally released back in October of 2013, the Nintendo 2DS is a smaller, more basic version of the Nintendo 3DS. It’s non-fordable, and only showcasing a 2D display. The screens are also a tad smaller than what you would find on the original 3DS system, but it’s definitely a bang for you buck if you’re looking to pickup a great gift for someone who isn’t that big into 3D.
