Microsoft may have just leaked what was meant to be a huge surprise for Call of Duty fans.
Over on the Xbox One Live Store, a user on Reddit, apparently came across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the store, eligible as an Xbox One Backwards Compatible download, and upon clicking on the title, was shortly greeted by an error pop up. The user has upload several images of the title on the Xbox One Live Store, and you can clearly see the title is there, without a doubt.
While Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 was been expected to be arriving for sometime now, as the title was announced to be coming as a backwards compatible title, for some time now, it seems we may actually be receiving some of the Modern Warfare series titles first.
Many users are currently assuming the possibility of Activision, offering backwards compatible downloads of some of the Modern Warfare series titles, with the digital pre-order of the upcoming 2016 Call of Duty title, but even this is mere speculation.
As usual, this is all nothing more but a rumor until Activision officially comments on it, however, I would assume with the title popping up on the Xbox One Live Store, we may not be so far off from an official announcement.
