With Bethesda returning to the E3 Press Conference lineup once again this year, many fans are now speculating what exactly the company will be announcing and showing off during their showcasing. Last year, though expected, the company officially revealed Fallout 4 along with a release date, ultimately sweeping the entire gaming community off their feet, simultaneously. The only question that remains now is, will they do the same this year?
With it being several years since the launch of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, many have begun to speculate the possibility of Bethesda announcing the next journey in the franchise “Elder Scrolls VI”, however, recent rumors have now begin surfacing regarding the possibility of the company announcing a remastered version of Skyrim, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
An industry insider over on NeoGAF, who goes by the name of “Shinobi602” has started the rumors of a Skyrim remaster. However, the initial assumption of the remaster was made in response to a German website, which also spoke of a Remastered version of Skyrim set to be announced. These rumors also come along with the claim that Skyrim Remastered will come with all DLC and improved visuals, along with mod support; much similar to what Fallout 4 currently is having rolled out onto consoles.
Though these are all just mere rumors in the end until Bethesda confirms or deny’s them, a possibility of a Skyrim Remastered Edition is something I have not thought about, at all, up until now. While I feel it would be a waste of time and resources, with the title already looking quite stunning as it is, I’m sure many Xbox One and PS4 owners would love to be able to journey through the world of Skyrim, one last time with upgraded visuals.
Bethesda’s E3 2016 Press Conference is set to kick off on Sunday, June 12 at 7pm PT. You will not want to miss out!
