It seems the Titans are preparing to clash yet again! That’s right! Rumor has it that Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 is one the way, with a likely announcement to take place during E3 2016.
A french website by the name of Gameblog, has contacted a source which has claimed the sequel to be announced at or just before E3 2016. The source also claims that the title will be once again developed by Netherrealm Studio’s and will be running on an engine similar to Motal Kombat X. The game is apparently set to be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in March 2017.
Another source has also come out, a DC Comics focused YouTuber, JaeRaor, announced recently that he heard from a game-tester, that he is testing the game right now. The tester also confirmed that the game is expected to be out next year, with an announcement coming very soon.
With rumors regarding a sequel for Injustice: Gods Among Us being prominent before, and now several sources coming to the forefront now; it seems very likely that we will in fact be receiving a sequel for the title sometime next year. With the Mortal Kombat X hype train seeming to die down a bit, now is the perfect time for Netherrealm Studio’s to rev up the hype for another beloved fighting game title. If Injustice 2 is in fact announced during E3 2016, it may actually end up being one of my favorite announcements from the show.
