It’s time to hit the decks again.
Skate was probably one of my all-time favorite franchises from the last-gen of consoles; you know, right before everything turned into a direct clone of each other once all developers lost creativity. As dark as those day’s were, the Skate franchise were one of which that truly expressed how great a series of games can be, so as long as a developer thinks outside the box.
With that said, Microsoft had made yet another great decision, and have announced that the highly requests Skate 3, will be headed to Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Skate 3 originally launched on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 back in 2010; and while it’s likely been quite some time since anyone has played this title, I have very little doubt that fans of the Skate franchise are rushing for their old copies right now.
Microsoft has been on the roll with the backwards compatible additions lately; especially with both Mass Effect 2 and 3 arriving on the backwards compatibility program, as well, earlier this week. With all of these recent additions, the full list of supported games has been bumped up to 284! We’ve still have quite a few highly requested titles to get, so hopefully it won’t be long until we receive even more great ones. You can check out the full list of titles here.
