The final Kingdom Hearts release leading up to Kingdom Hearts 3 has officially been announced. While it’s not exactly the “2.9” remix we’ve heard rumors about the past few weeks or so, it’s close enough, and I’m glad it’s coming.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will include an HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance, along with scenes from Unchained X entitled “Back Cover” which are to reveal the tale of the Foretellers, overall revealing new parts to the series history. The collection will also include Birth By Sleep 0.2 – A Fragmentary Passage, which will be a new part of the story which takes place after the events of the original Birth by Sleep title, told from the perspective of Aqua.
Square Enix announced that the first trailer for the game will be arriving on September 17th!
