Namco has been pretty hush hush about the possibility of a console port for Tekken 7 since the titles official arcade release back in 2014. Now however, it seems we may actually be receiving a port in the near future!
David Fralie, who is the marketing Manager of Bandai Namco Entertainment Spain, has stated in a recent video that Tekken 7 will be released for consoles in 2016. The official announcement was made via a video on the Madrid Games Week YouTube Page.
This doesn’t come as such a surprise if you are an avid follower of Fighting Games. Tekken is a pretty large franchise, and despite having quite a large skill gap, it does sell fairly well, and it still widely enjoyed among gamers. The game is expected to release on only Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 due to the title being built on Unreal Engine 4.
Hopefully we do receive an official announcement soon, I’m about ready to get my juggle game on once again.
