Fans have waited years, literally, for the next part in the ‘The Last of Us’ story, and fortunately, they will not have to wait much longer. Announced over on the PlayStation ‘State of Play’ broadcast this afternoon, Sony revealed some of the upcoming titles coming to the PlayStation 4 platform, and while nothing too crazy was announced, ‘The Last of Us Part 2’ was not only the biggest shown off game during the broadcast, but also the final title shown.
It was worth the wait however, as fans received a brand new trailer for the game which featured some story scenes as well as game-play, we even got confirmation that Joel will be returning, and will very likely be partnering up with Ellie as she goes out on her journey of ‘revenge’ of some sort. So far, the game looks to be shaping up to be exactly what we’ve wanted out of a sequel to The Last of Us, and we won’t have to wait much longer!
The Last of Us Part 2 will officially launch on February 21st, 2019 and will also launch with several different editions. A collectors edition, an Ellie edition, a special edition, and a standard edition! You can checkout the contents of each package via the images below!
