It’s a tough world out there, and sometimes you just have to put video games on the back-burner, to be able to enjoy some of the other finer things in life, like Soccer! And that’s exactly what THQ Nordic will be doing this year. The company recently announced via a Press Release that they will not be attending E3 2018 this June, and will instead the team will be spending the week watching the World Cup, whilst watching streams of E3 2018.
“It is with great regret that we at THQ Nordic must report that we will be unable to miss a single moment of this great sporting event. Therefore, we will be forced to stay in our lovely Viennese beer gardens, blowing the froth off a couple, watching football and one or two cool press conferences on Twitch (looking at you, Devolver) instead of rocking it ourselves.”
If you were looking forward to seeing what THQ Nordic would bring to the table at this years E3, well not all hope is lost. The company also confirmed that they would instead be showing off what they have in store for the gaming community at both Gamescom in Cologne Germany, as well as PAX West! Both events in which take place a few months, give or take, after E3.
