One of Capcoms last great gems was the title “Okami” which launched back in 2006, originally on the PlayStation 2, only to shortly arrive on the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The game was overall a huge success, as it was primarily praised for it’s beautiful Japanese art-style as well as quality adventure gameplay.

Despite the games massive success, Capcom has yet to capitalize on the interest of the title by providing a sequel for the masses; however, it seems we’ll be receiving the next best thing very soon. Capcom has finally confirmed that a remastered version of Okami is in fact on the way! The game will be arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC – available on December 12th. The title will feature 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC; so if you’re looking to get the most visually pleasing experience out of this remaster, you’ll definitely want to consider upgrading some of your current gaming hardware.

For those who may not be familiar with the game Okami, it basically revolves around an adventure featuring the Shinto Deity Amaterasu, who has transformed into a white wolf. Okami features a great mix of adventure, puzzles and platforming; with players being able to sort of design and shift the world that they are playing in. It’s an interesting an unique game at it’s core.

It’s great to hear that Capcom is reviving some of their older material, even if it isn’t a sequel like many would like. What do you think of Okami HD? Let us know in the comments below!
