It’s real, it’s actually happening, I cannot contain my excitement!

Yooka-Laylee has come a long way ever since it’s successful crowdfunding campaign which took place back in 2015; and now it’s soon to grace us all with 3D platformer nostalgia as we race across a world that is completely new to us. Yooka-Laylee in a way, is a nod at Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie series, as the team behind the title “Playtronic”, consists of many developers who were behind the development of the Banjo-Kazooie series. There are new accessories to improve your gaming sessions in this platforms in which you can also add a gaming computer desk to have a better experience at it !

After the colossal disappointment that we all know Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, was, it’s great to see that the developers have moved on, and have begun working on something that much more closely resembles the first two games within the franchise, ultimately bringing us something fresh as well as catering to the crowd who grew up on great 3D platformers such as the Banjo-Kazooie franchise.

We’ve heard much praise regarding Yooka-Laylee ever since it’s existence, and now, it’s official launch is drawing near as the developers have recently announced on their blog, that the game has officially gone gold! Basically meaning retail copies are soon to be produced.

While official backers of the title have long been able to confirm which platform they’d like the copy of the game for, those who have not backed are now able to pre-order physical editions of the title on Amazon for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With the Wii U version recently announced to be canned in place for the Switch version, Wii U official backers have the choice to swap their copy of choice to either Xbox One, PS4, or Steam, as an official Switch release date for Yooka-Laylee has yet to be announced.

Yooka-Laylee will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac OS, Linux, and PC (via Steam), on April 11th.
