    Yooka-Laylee Receiving Physical Boxed Release

Yooka-Laylee is one of those titles that continue to receive a ton of praise, despite the game not even being officially released, yet. After it’s overly-successful Kickstarter campaign, the developers have been hard at work developing the game, and releasing footage, and bits of information as the development continues on. Since then, the game has won many fans from the Nintendo 64 age, looking to once again indulge themselves in that nostalgic feeling, that games like Banjo-Kazooie, tend to offer.

Until recently, it was only thought that the game would be receiving a digital release only, however, the developers Playtonic Games, have recently confirmed via an update that Yoka-Laylee will in fact be receiving a physical release, when the game drops in early 2017.

This is quite exciting to hear, as a physical release will definitely bring more eyes to the title, and could even score the developers a bit more money, that could maybe be used towards a sequel? Regardless of that, I’ll definitely be picking up the physical copy, and I’m glad the developers are striving to make this title as accessible as possible.

No images and or artwork regarding what the box-art will look like have been released of yet, however I’d assume as we make our way into the New Year, we’ll likely be surprised with an official box-art reveal.

Yooka-Laylee launches on Xbox One, PC, OSX, Linux, Wii U, and PS4 in 2017.
