    Mario Kart 8 DLC Announced! Featuring new Characters, Karts, Cups, and Tracks!

    Mario Kart  is without a doubt the most popular Kart racing franchise on the planet, and it just got 2x better! Earlier today, leaks went out that revealed that Nintendo had indeed had plans for future DLC for the game. Shortly after the leak, it the DLC was officially announced via Twitter by Nintendo of Europe, which featured many details regarding the upcoming DLC. Here’s the rundown!

    The DLC will be available in two packs, with the first pack being released this November, and the second being released May of 2015.

    The first pack of DLC will contain 3 new characters; Link, cat-suit Peach, and tanooki-suit Mario. It will also contain four new vehicles and eight new tracks.

    The second pack of DLC also contains 3 new characters, them being; the Villager from Animal Crossing, Isabelle from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Dry Bowser. The pack also contain four vehicles, and eight tracks.

    Each DLC pack will contain two new cups, each of which contain 4 new tracks. Players will be able to purchase each pack separately for $7, or both together for $12. Those who decide to purchase both DLC packs together, will receive eight new colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy.
