Everyone is excited for Battlefield 1. Yes that’s right, I said everyone. And with October seemingly a bit of a ways out, many players are eagerly awaiting for the first early opportunity to get their hands on the title; and luckily, it seems that first opportunity isn’t very far off at all.

EA has announced that on August 31st, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players will be able to join the fray of Battlefield 1, via the games open beta. EA will be using this opportunity to test the servers of the game, as well as it’s game modes, as, only a few modes will be available to play during the beta.

“The Battlefield 1 Open Beta will feature two franchise favorite modes – Conquest and Rush – on the new Sinai Desert map,” reads the press release. “Playable with up to 64 players, this map includes a new controllable Armored Train behemoth, ridable horses and three new Elite Classes – Sentry, Flame Trooper and Tank Hunter.”

All players regardless if you pre-ordered the title or not, will be able to participate in the Open Beta. However, some gamer’s will be eligible for early access via EA’s selection. If you are interested in being considered for early access for the title, feel free to click here and register.
