We’ve received quite a bit of Dragon Quest information coming out of Square Enix as of late. From details surrounding the upcoming ‘Dragon Quest Heroes’ on the PS4, as well as the release of Dragon Quest VIII on the Nintendo 3DS.

Earlier today, Square Enix announced via a YouTube live-stream, and Nico Nico that Dragon Quest XI is on the way, and will be headed to the PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo 3DS.

Many are currently a bit concerned that Dragon Quest XI will not make it to the U.S due to the fact that we were completely left out of Dragon Quest X. But from the recent announcements regarding us receiving Dragon Quest Heroes, as well as Dragon Quest VII and VIII remakes for the Nintendo 3DS, it’s would be a pretty shameful move for Square Enix to skip the U.S for the next iteration within the series.

What was probably most surprising however, is that Dragon Quest XI has also been announced for the Nintendo NX, which we’ve heard almost nothing about. The game will be running on Unreal Engine 4 on the PlayStation 4, so there is a very good chance it will be running on the same engine on the Nintendo NX.

We’ll keep you updated on the latest Dragon Quest XI information as further details roll out.
