The only currently released, numbered Final Fantasy title I haven’t played, Final Fantasy IX, will soon be making it’s way to PC, Android, and IPhone very soon as we kick off 2016.
This will mark the first time ever the title sees a release outside of the PlayStation consoles. The game was originally released back in 2000 on the PlayStation One, as well as a PlayStation Classic release for the PS3 in 2010.
The updated port will receive, “high-definition graphics, newly added achievements, auto-save, high speed mode, and several game boosting features” on release.
It’s great to see entries within the Final Fantasy franchise, ESPECIALLY, getting re-releases with updated visuals, on other platforms. 2016 is really the year of Final Fantasy goodness so it seems, with World of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy XV, and now Final Fantasy IX all on the way this year.
Check out the official announcement trailer for the re-release below, and let us know what you think!
