Well, I knew I’ve been holding these tears in for something all these years, and I suppose now is the perfect time to set them free. Nah, maybe not. But still, a delay of Final Fantasy XV isn’t exactly something fans have been awaiting to here, with the game being just about a month away from it’s initial planned release date; but now, fans will have to wait a little bit longer to embark on the latest Final Fantasy journey.
After several rumored reports of the title receiving a possible delay, it has now been officially revealed by Square Enix themselves, that Final Fantasy XV will in fact be delayed till November 2016, with the exact date of November 29th, as it’s new, global launch date. Roughly two months later than it’s initial scheduled launch, for September 30th.
Apparently the decision was made by Square Enix, in order to “allow the development teams time to further polish and conduct quality testing to that the reality of the game can match the expectations of both the fans and the creative teams.”
In the interview you can checkout below, the game director strongly emphasized the teams vision to truly produce a polished product, something that the many years of Final Fantasy XV development, have likely been for.
Truthfully, I’ve always felt like the month of November was a perfect month for Final Fantasy releases. Probably due to November being the month where I have picked up many Final Fantasy titles in the past (FF3, FF Tactics, FF Tactics A2, FF8, and more). While a bit longer of a wait is definitely ahead of us till we finally get our hands on Final Fantasy XV, I feel that it is for the best, as Square Enix is truly working their hearts out to make this a VERY successful title.
