While the reveal of Gears of War 4 was definitely the main highlight of Microsoft’s Press Conference, for me; we also received official confirmation on the rumored Gears of War remake, which has been leaked multiple times within the past month or so.
The game has been officially announced as “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” putting all of the “Gears of War: Remastered” and “Gears of War: The Marcus Fenix Collection” title rumors, to rest. While the game is still remastered in full 1080p, 60FPS, this only contains the first games campaign.
Multiplayer seems to be a pretty big focus this time around, as they are adding brand new game modes, dedicated servers, new characters, and more. And lucky for us, we don’t have to wait to get our hands on it. Microsoft has officially announced that the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Multiplayer will begin today on Xbox Live, so you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for a chance to get int!
