Today, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company warmed our hearts yet again!
Both companies have announced a new limited edition themed New 3DS Bundle that is designed after the original Pokemon Red, and Blue, Game Boy titles. This announcement comes just in time, as the series is now celebrated it’s 20th anniversary.
The bundle includes a New Nintendo 3DS system, along with a Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue cover plate, one of which sporting Charizard, and the other Blastoise. The only difference, is that both cover plates featuring a small pikachu near the bottom of the back of the plate.
Along with this, the bundle will also include pre-installed copies of both Pokemon Red and Blue. You will also receive a downloadable code for a special Pokemon Inspired menu theme.
The bundle is slated to arrive some time in February, however we will keep you updated as official release dates and pricing are revealed.
With this being the 20th Anniversary, it’s very intriguing to think what else Nintendo and the Pokemon Company may have up their sleeves for announcements. We know Pokemon Go is on the way sometime before the first half of the year is up.
Rumors have been on-going for quite sometime now regarding a “Pokemon Z” announcement, and while it seems a bit unlikely at this point, there is still a very solid chance we may see a new a 3DS Pokemon title sometime before the end of the year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
