We’ve received a ton of information regarding upcoming Fire Emblem projects which are to be released throughout 2017. With Fire Emblem: Hero’s arriving on Mobile platforms this February, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia arriving on the Nintendo 3DS this May, and with Fire Emblem: Warriors heading to both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS this Fall; it’s safe to say that Nintendo has seen the recent success with the Fire Emblem franchise, and are now running with it while the hype and craving is fresh!

Despite all of these titles in the works, Nintendo is working on yet ANOTHER Fire Emblem title, which is currently planned to be released in 2018. This Fire Emblem title will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, and will see the series return to it’s more “home-console roots” for the first time since the 2008 release of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Nintendo Wii.

Since the title is still very early in development, Nintendo did not release any further details regarding the project aside from it’s planned 2018 release window. I’m quite thrilled to hear that Fire Emblem will be returning to the home-console, as that is where I had my first Fire Emblem experience.
